The Northern Forest Canoe Trail meanders 740 scenic miles through four Northeast states and a Canadian province. It follows old Native American and fur trapper trade routes and traverses 2 rivers and streams as well as 56 lakes and ponds in the course of its passage from Old Forge, New York in the Adirondack Mountains to Fort Kent in the northernmost part of Maine. Photographer Clyde Smith takes us on a visual tour of the trail and also provides commentary on how the trail changes throughout the year. 112 pages. hardcover.
