Roll & Go is a collective of men and women who love to sing sea shanties and other songs of the sea, and have done so for more than 15 years. Their spirited performances have earned them a growing reputation among festival and concert goers in Maine and New Hampshire. Singing mostly unaccompanied, they combine strong solo work with tight harmonies on the refrain and chorus. With Roll & Go you'll hear the old songs brought back to life, and some newer songs that highlight current concerns in our merchant marine and fisheries. "Rolling Down to Sailortown" includes drinking songs and sea shanties such as Running Down to Cuba, Whiskey Johnny, All for Me Grog, and Port o' Dreams. Total time: 66 minutes.
